West Village Flagship
The Dauphinette flagship is a whimsical, storied destination nestled at the intersection of historic Bedford and Morton Streets in the West Village. Inside the cozy boutique, a custom- built Italian chandelier bursts with hundreds of anthuriums, illuminating a greenhouse whose walls are built from clear resin filled with pressed fruits and flowers. The brand’s joyful ready-to-wear collection is suspended from oak tree branches from designer Olivia Cheng’s own backyard, while the store’s tables and shelves were custom-built from reclaimed 1950s scaffolding wood sourced locally in New York City. At the jewelry counter, visitors can review and order an exclusive selection of the brand’s best-selling flower-and-fruit jewelry, where the client’s picks are assembled and made in-store. Even the fitting room has a story to tell, its ceiling and walls lined in textured gold paint and a mural hand-painted by Cheng as well. While the Dauphinette boutique offers a bespoke experience to each of its patrons, its comfort and ethereal warmth are what make it one of the downtown scene’s most enchanting new developments.
